Nineteen plus years of experience as a Chinese Medicine practitioner in private practice.


2016-Present: Senior Practitioner of Chinese Medicine at the Alternative Clinic Asheville North Carolina.


2021-Present: Courses taught:   

Tangible Orthopaedic Acupuncture for the Treatment of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS); An East & West Overview.

Nine essential needling techniques. 


2015-2016: Association for Traditional Studies: Completed in person training workshops on Acupuncture for External Injuries, Internal Diseases and Chinese Bodywork for Clinical Practice. Completed over 600 hours of clinical observation offered by Andrew Nugent Head in Asheville, N.C.


2019-2020: Translations into Spanish: Article: Ashi Points In Clinical Practice by Andrew Nugent Head. Seminar: Putting back the Traditional into TCM: Using the Classics in the Clinic, Author: Andrew Nugent Head.


Ten years of combined teaching and clinical supervisory experience at Daoist Traditions School of Chinese Medical Arts and The American College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM).


Experienced working in both outpatient and inpatient hospital settings. Worked as a part time acupuncturist at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas and Memorial Herman’s M-Health chronic pain program.


Credentialed to provide in-patient hospital acupuncture treatments for Care Partners Hospital, Asheville, North Carolina 2008-2011.

Board Certified in Oriental Medicine since 2002 from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) #21190


Five years of experience as an exercise physiologist in cardiovascular rehabilitation, exercise testing & evaluation, exercise program development, research data collection, lecturing/education risk factors for heart disease, aerobic and anaerobic exercise, and relaxation techniques.
